The Council is now in its 5th year with 55 members and has made notable impacts on the governance of digital assets, infrastructure, and sustainability. Remarks noted the Council's history, its evolution, and impacts the Council has made on the governance of digital assets, infrastructure, and sustainability.
Council extended its appreciation to Catherine Luelo for her leadership in helping to steer the Council over the past year as she steps down as co-Chair.
A warm welcome was extended to the AffinitiQuest and VMware, joining as the Council's newest members.

YEAR IN REVIEW AND FORWARD OUTLOOK |

The impressive accomplishments realized this past fiscal year and over the past 5 years are a testament to the purposeful direction, support, insights of our members. Their leadership sets the agenda and inspires our ongoing work -- all in service of shaping Canada's digital future. Executive Director, Keith Jansa, delivered a snapshot into the incredible work delivered over the last fiscal year and highlighted the forward outlook.
CIOs, CTOs, CEOs, CDOs, SVPs, all play a vital role in governing technology innovation in the operation of their organizations. As leaders, each of these positions play a critical role in facilitating Canada's digital transformation. CIO Strategy Council's membership reflects this diversity.
Bringing together executives across the c-suite, Council remains deeply invested in identifying and acting on critical issues facing Canada's digital economy. It develops standards, advances thought leadership, and collaborates with organizations to build robust and cohesive governance frameworks to advance Canada's economic and social prosperity. We are a Digital Governance Council. Members supported an evolution of the Council's brand identity and name to reflect the ambit of our vision.
Members highlighted the significance and expressed continued support in the Council pursuing a complementary strategic role in becoming an accredited certification body responsible for issuing certification marks to organizations that meet recognized national standards for digital governance. The CIO Strategy Council remains in solid financial position. |

Perspectives challenged members to integrate data to deliver best-in-class services and highlighted opportunities to deliver frictionless experiences for Canadians transacting across organizations.

PRESENTATION DISCUSSION WITH UKRAINE MINISTRY OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION |

As a follow-up to the May 25th Council Meeting on the collective approach necessary to implement core tenets of a trusted inclusive digital identity ecosystem that benefits all Canadians, the Council hosted a Special Meeting on September 9, 2022 with Mstyslav Banik, Director of eServices Development Directorate at the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. In 2019, digitalization became one of the fundamental priorities of the Government of Ukraine. The mission of the Ministry of Digital Transformation is to create a digital, human-centred and transparent state without administrative burden for citizens and businesses. Mr. Banik shared best practices on the Ministry's initiatives to achieve its strategic goal of having 100% of all government services available online, with 20 percent of services fully automated by 2024.
