Get your application ready for Young Executive Leaders 2023! If you (or a colleague) are hoping to be selected to participate in the Young Executive Leaders programme in 2023, here is everything you need to know. - The application process will open on Thursday 12 January. The deadline for completing your application is Monday 6 February.
- Key eligibility criteria: be a mid-career professional, up to 40 years of age, working in an organization affiliated to an IHF Member.

Applicants will need to complete an online form, submit a full CV, and provide a letter of support from their workplace supervisor.
- The YEL programme is offered in collaboration with our partner, WittKieffer.

Entries will be scored by a panel of global healthcare leaders (Review Committee). They will use their knowledge of the industry and of the programme to score each entry on its merits and using guidance criteria.
IHF Members and YEL Alumni community members can volunteer to be part of the Review Committee. Please send an email to express interest. Nominations will be evaluated considering multidisciplinary, national, and gender diversity. Stay tuned on our social media to hear the call for applications! |

Discussing sustainable healthcare with Dr Tedros at the World Health Organization
On 2 December, representatives from the IHF, Geneva Sustainability Centre, and University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG) met Dr Tedros at WHO headquarters in Geneva. They discussed the need to support hospitals to be more resilient and sustainable, and shared examples of the exceptional work being done by hospitals, as recognized by the IHF Awards 2022. |

On 1 December we co-hosted “Protecting health care from violence - A global dialogue for peer exchange of good practice”. Participants shared their experience in facing and mitigating violence, including safe working environments or the safety of health care personnel. |

Successful first steps: Our highlights
Since the Centre opened in April, we have made big progress in our key focus areas. We have already started to embed sustainability into all IHF activities, as well as developing resources, delivering workshops and training, and building collaborative partnerships. | Training: bootcamp at ACHE Congress on Healthcare Leadership
On 19 March, the Geneva Sustainability Centre will present a bootcamp at the ACHE Congress. Aimed at C Suite healthcare executives, this full day masterclass - Leading on environmental sustainability - will support the development of decarbonization policies at organization level. |

Our community of members is growing
Across our network, #MembersMakeIHF. And we are pleased to introduce two leading organizations that recently joined the IHF.
New Full member: Rwanda Private Medical Facilities Association gathers 182 private actors from Rwanda. This umbrella organization aims to enable the professional development of healthcare specialists at all levels with different training, advocacy and collaborative initiatives.
New Group Associate Member: Avenue Healthcare is present in Nairobi, Kajiado Thika, Nakuru, Eldoret, and Kisumu, Kenya. The team is committed to impact positively in the community by improving the quality of life through better health. |
A thriving network: Expanding our reach in 2022
In 2022, we welcomed 32 new organizations into our community of members, increased our exchanges in the African region and strengthened the IHF network across the world: - 3 national associations of hospitals became Full members.
- 14 Premier members joined our community.
- 2 hospital groups joined as Group Associate members.

12 individual hospitals came on board to strengthen their international reach.
